Description:
Seasonal Shipping/Receiving Administrator and Support
This is a seasonal role that will support the coordination and administrative functions within the shipping and receiving team for the Schomberg team for the spring season (approximately from Mid-March to Mid - June) . Reporting to the Shipping Coordinator, we are looking for a motivated team player that has excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and is able to adapt to the competing priorities of the business.
Main responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for scanning and filing all driver and loader paperwork
- Supports in reviewing and producing driver paperwork for all domestic and international loads
- Supports in reviewing and producing loading paperwork for loading teams on the ground
- Supports in reviewing and implementing loading plans based on the weekly dispatch files, Out of Province file and Inbound Planner files
- Assists/supports Receiving Coordinator with inbound loads including paperwork generation, tracking offloaded material, discrepancy reporting, laydown of product in the field
- Provides back-up/coverage to Receiving Coordinator and Shipping Administrator
- Occasionally helps with physical loading and offloading as needed, including forklift operation
- Supports in inventory management of resources necessary to drivers, loading teams and offloading teams including:
- Scanners
- Straps
- Bars
- Pallet Jacks
- Etc…
- Supports in inventory management of consumable products and other contents located in storage trailers and containers
- Participate in daily operations meetings as needed
Skillset
- Experience with Excel is a must – intermediate level
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to work evenings and weekends during peak periods; 6 days per week during this time (April 1st through June 1st)
- Experience with SAP would be an asset
- Forklift operator certificate would be an asset
- Spanish speaking would be an asset
- CRP/First-aid trained would be an asset
