School Overview
U-link College Guangzhou and Nansha College Preparatory Academy will be merging in 2024 and the resulting school will be housed on a new site and called “Guangzhou U-link International School”. The school will be in the Nansha district of Guangzhou and will be a licensed international school from K-12, with brand new KG and Primary divisions. The school will follow the PYP curriculum in KG and Primary, Middle Years will likely follow MYP (maybe IGCSE this is TBC) followed by A-levels/IBDP in Year 11/12.
Living and Working in Guangzhou
Nansha itself combines modern shopping centers and apartment complexes with traditional village life, markets, and agricultural wetlands. Guangzhou has its own large expatriate community with all of the activities to match the typical expat lifestyle. The climate is subtropical, very wet, but with very low pollution levels compared to most parts of China.
Role and Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
- A-level experience or equivalent is required
- Experience with leading innovation and positive change to improve student learning
- Knowledge and understanding of current “best practice”
- Evidence for commitment to their own lifelong learning
- Experience that shows an understanding of student welfare and safeguarding
