Here you will participate in enabling the energy transition, creating value for our customers to integrate more and more renewable energy into the grid through solutions that cover inter-regional interconnections, harnessing large offshore wind energy, and solutions that bring stability and reliability to the grid.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Secondary Engineering Leader oversees the Control & Protection design, development, and integration of Conventional Control systems, Electrical distribution, Digital control systems/software, telecom & monitoring for both High Voltage DC and AC substations.
Leading and coordinating secondary design teams, you collaborate with team leaders, support lead engineers, and manage the engineering process. Responsibilities include resource allocation, seeking design subcontractors for workload optimization, and ensuring efficient project execution within budget. You actively organize knowledge transfer and capitalize on experiences to enhance engineering efficiency.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive expertise in substation control system design, electrical distribution, and comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and tools.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in engineering within EPC projects, including Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Power Generation, or equivalent.
  • Significant background in the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) industry.
  • Proven leadership with a strong technical foundation and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with products, manufacturing processes, project execution risks, and processes.
  • Experience with CAD software and substation design tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent English communication skills, ability of creating and delivering presentations to key stakeholders. German is a plus.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines while prioritizing safety, quality, and engineering integrity.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel globally (20%)
