The School
Teachanywhere is currently recruiting for an expanding school group in the delightful country of Oman. This rewarding opportunity enables teachers to provide quality international education to young Omani students while experiencing this spectacular, peaceful country which offers amazing beaches, warm hospitality and an expanding expat community.
The schools objective is to deliver an adapted version of the Cambridge syllabus of the National Curriculum of England and Wales to local students in a bilingual co-educational setting. The group is making access to private education more accessible and affordable so a wider community can enjoy the benefits of a western style education combined with the ethos of the Islamic culture. This is a full K - 12 school with various campuses located around the city of Muscat.
Primary teachers are responsible for two small classes delivering the core subjects of Maths, English and Science, this bilingual setting means classes are shared with an Arabic Teacher who teaches local subjects. If you are experienced in an ESL setting and are creative, motivational and can inspire the classroom, this will be a great opportunity for you.
The collection of schools are converted villa compounds which have been adapted to classrooms and other specialised rooms. External facilities are basic with limited outside and sports areas however, most classrooms do have interactive whiteboard and there are generous communal areas indoors for students to play and exercise which is advantageous in the summer months.
Living and Working in Oman
Some campuses are located within walking distance of the beach which is an additional bonus for some. Oman is a very attractive country in terms of physical features, tradition and culture. It has a small, vibrant and welcoming expatriate community and represents a unique and rewarding introduction to life in the Middle East. School Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years experience
• A Bachelors degree in your teaching subject + a teaching qualification in your subject such as a PGCE.
• Applications are welcomed from adventurous candidates who can demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
• Experience within an ESL environment is desirable.

Salary and Benefits Package

• Monthly tax free payment of between OR800 and OR1100,
• Single furnished accommodation relatively close to the campus
• Local medical insurance
• Annual flights
• Contracts are 1 year renewable
