Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Nelson area
  • Job Type: Temporary (Full-time, Summer Term)We are seeking a dedicated Leve 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the Nelson area. This temporary role is set to commence in April 2024 and will last for the duration of the summer term. The successful candidate will be working full-time hours from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 - 15:30. The role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.Day to Day of the role:
  • Monitoring individual targets for pupils’ future progress.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the needs of all pupils.
  • Tracking pupils’ progress in accordance with the school’s practices.
  • Implementing excellent behaviour management strategies.Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must possess a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Essential experience working with pupils with additional needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with pupils and adults.
  • Ability to monitor and report on pupils’ progress effectively.
