Salary - £41,418 - £46,464 (Grade 7)
Hours - 37 hours per week

City of Wolverhampton Council are seeking to recruit 1 Permanent Section Leader within the Council’s City Environment Directorate.
This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to lead a licensing team working on a range of issues primarily dealing with Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Driver Licensing.
You will have day to day responsibility for the management, operation, financial control, co-ordination and development of the Council’s driver licensing function.
We are seeking candidates with significant Licensing experience together with an in-depth knowledge of the law and licensing regulation. You will have experience of leading on delivery of service improvements, interacting with Elected Members and delivering reports to Committees.
We are seeking a flexible and committed individual with an ability to manage high and competing workload, who has good communication and customer service skills. You will be process driven, ensuring the evidence chain is maintained and records are properly and consistently recorded. You will have delivered on high profile workstreams and have a proven record of professional achievements.
Competency with information technology systems is essential as is a high level of personal and professional motivation.

OUR WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empowers employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocation where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for ‘touch down’ space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
