Description:

Here at Wates, we have a rewarding opportunity for a Section Manager to join our responsive maintenance team in the West Lancashire area on a FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 6 MONTHS. This role will involve working with our existing social housing providers so ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in this field.
You will provide a supervisory role to a team of maintenance operatives and key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring works are programmed and delivered in line with legal requirements and KPI targets

  • Attend pre- and post-inspection works and advise on appropriate action and job requirements, and assist with design solutions
  • Make sure that all operatives and sub-contractors in the team adhere to Company rules and regulations
  • Provide on-going support, feedback and development to the team
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with client representatives and attend client meetings, when required
  • Deal and respond effectively to variation requests highlighted by the Client and Subcontractors and keeping records for the company
  • Produce reports on H&S, Programming and Labour attendances when required

Due to nature of these works we are ideally looking for candidates who have previous experience within the repairs and maintenance field having worked on complex works to the point of completion within the social housing maintenance sector.
