JOB DESCRIPTION

Join the Securitized Products Group (SPG) Production Management Team at JPMorgan Chase, a team that supports proprietary technology platforms for the SPG Trading business. This role will lead the SPG support team in Buenos Aires (BA), offering an exciting opportunity to join a high performing global team. The successful candidate will manage major incidents and outages, stakeholder communications, project initiatives, and implement tactical and strategic solutions. This role requires a BSc/BA degree or equivalent experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of ownership and personal accountability.
JPMorgan Securitized Products Group is engaged in a variety of activities related to consumer and real estate assets. The business originates, underwrites and trades mortgage and other asset-backed receivables, and the product mix includes residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities and loans, as well as auto, credit card, student loan and consumer receivables. The group’s capabilities include sales, trading, lending, financing, origination, capital markets, syndicate and special opportunities activities on a single platform
As SPG Production Management Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the Global SPG Production Management Team, you will be responsible for leading the support team in BA. You will work closely with colleagues across global teams to promote improvement in standards and processes, as well as partnering with Development to define and promote future state architecture and strategy. This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a high performing global team, and to contribute to a significant growth area within the investment banking business.
Technologists at JPMorgan are hands-on problem solvers. This role will require developing and executing a strategy for the team, but this will be informed through being hands-on involved in troubleshooting major outages, dealing with escalations, and personally leading improvement initiatives.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Leading the SPG support team in Buenos Aires
  • Manage high-profile major incidents and outages including stakeholder communications
  • Manage major migrations / project initiatives
  • Review low-level stability issues holistically, determining improvements
  • Implement tactical and strategic solutions for this, partnering across technology teams
  • Develop and execute a strategy for the team
  • Troubleshoot major outages, deal with escalations, and personally lead improvement initiatives.
  • Mentors and coaches junior staff, to improve standards and aid with career development

Desireable qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages – previous experience of Python would be an advantage
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Working knowledge of LINUX/UNIX operating systems
  • Working knowledge of scheduling tools (Autosys, Control M)
  • Basic Cloud knowledge would be an advantage (AWS or Kubernetes)
  • Experience with database technologies, i.e., ability to develop and execute SQL queries
  • Experience of SPG/Fixed Income specifically is not essential, candidates with experience of Equities / FX etc. are welcomed
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and inquisitive. Able to demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and personal accountability.
  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Prior experience of leading a team (regional or global) is required
  • Experience leading in a fast-paced environment, making prioritization decisions and adapting to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in influencing others across functions, regions, and technology areas
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, peers and counterparts to drive the teams agenda across disparate groups
  • Ability to de-escalate situations and deal with challenging situations professionally
