CLA is looking to hire a Security Analyst to join our growing Internal IT team.
About the role:
This role works closely with the Security Services team and the Director of IT Security Services to build a holistic view of the overall security posture for the firm. The focus of the position is to assist in the creation, endorsement, and utilization of technical best practice security architecture that guides the Firm through securing acquisition, building, modifying, and interfacing IT resources throughout the organization, with an emphasis on cloud-based services. This role is a hands-on position who supports the team by assisting in the implementation of best practice documents, creating security architecture drawings, providing level 3 (and occasional level 4) support, and participating in technical projects that span across all IT teams.

As a Security Analyst, you will:

  • Business Solutions: Acts in a supporting role to the Lead and Senior Security Analyst to promote and implement the strategic mission critical IT projects. Will review project documentation, research and reference security policy, render recommendations and guidance, and perform other tasks in the pursuit of securing systems, processes, and software applications. They will often interface with IT peers and business relationship managers to understand, design, and improve cybersecurity as it relates to IT security and various CLA Service Lines. They must be able to communicate effectively to target audiences across both the business and technical stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging. They assist IT teams in the creation and documentation of security requirements and configurations while ensuring the secure design principles are met. The Security Architect assess requirements and translate them into secure system guidelines and high-level technical requirements.
  • Technical team Initiatives: They will guide and counsel technical teams, with guidance from the Lead and Senior roles in performing implementation activities, and review implementation outcomes, to ensure secure design compliance. They will have involvement in the Firm’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and ensure all applications and services are built and sustained with security and compliance by design. Other responsibilities include validating controls for Encryption, Access Control, Web Application Vulnerability Detection, OWASP top 10 and other common web application security parameters. Create documentation around security initiatives as required.

What you will need:

  • Four years of general IT experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required (combination of education and experience may be considered a degree equivalent)

Technical Competencies:
This position works within multiple cybersecurity frameworks (NIST 800-53, NIST-171, CIS, HIPAA, PCI), and should be conversant across multiple frameworks, and competent in the requirements, design, and application of the frameworks into technical solutions and processes.
