ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Security analyst to join our DHS team in Washington, DC!
The OA CSS contract supports the DHS Office of Acquisition and multiple customers within DHS. The acquisition support includes program management, acquisition process reviews, contracting, budget, schedule, engineering, test & evaluation, and requirements support for the gov to develop, procure, and deploy systems for border security. These experts and SMEs are fully embedded with our gov customer. In addition, we support activity for the CBP intelligence community by providing intelligence analysts to support a wide range of classified activity.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of automated information and on-line systems and tools.
  • Ability to read and understand design plans for purposed technical security upgrades.
  • Understanding of, and experience-based familiarity with, information and technical security practices within the Information Technology environment required to establish and maintain system integrity for safeguarding classified information in a secure environment.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate actions effectively with individuals at all organizational and management levels.
  • Knowledge of CBP, DHS and IC databases and tools to gather, review and collate message traffic and other communications
  • Requires a detail-oriented self-starter experienced in supporting senior Government leaders and other technical/business professionals
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A current Department of Homeland security Background Investigation is required to start
  • An active TS/SCI clearance and a favorable background investigation conducted within the last six years or continuous evaluation are required

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires Bachelor’s and 3 years of experience; or 11 years of experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

Responsibilities:

  • Supports security policy and guidance for handling and safeguarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Supports instructions, policies, procedures, reviews, and compliance for the SCIF lifecycle. Services will be provided in one or more of the following areas: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, and or Communications Security
  • Processes incoming and outgoing Visit Authorization Request (VAR).
  • Processes request for classified system accounts.
  • Assists in providing password to User for classified account.
  • Processes Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates.
  • Assists with forwarding Foreign Travel documents.
  • Programs badges for access to secure environment.
  • Responds to access control system alert, verify access, and allow entry to secure area for cleared personnel without badge access.
  • Assists and escorts uncleared personnel in secure area.
  • Researches online cost of security supplies and services and completes forms in the automated Support Tasks and Tracker (STAT).
  • Places and schedules calls for equipment repair.
  • Attends security meetings and other meetings.
  • Completes virtual training or local training in support of duties if required.
  • Assists with updating continuity books for duties and responsibilities that are performed inside the SCIF.
  • Conducts outreach with other organizations to ensure best practices.
