MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An understanding of customer service principles, practices, and methods.

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) supports an inclusive and diverse employee community. Security Associate is an ideal position for people who enjoy working in a creative environment with strong community outreach. While helping secure artwork and assist visitors, Security Associates gain a valuable bird’s eye view of museum operations, which also makes a perfect fit for someone considering museum career opportunities.
Security Associates support the museum’s public safety and property protection programs by staffing posts in our main building and on campus posts external to the main building as well as patrolling the galleries. Benefits include:

This entry-level position provides a flexible schedule of up to 28 hours per week (minimum 20 hours per week), with an annual maximum of 1,450 hours (May 1 – April 30).
