Description:

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team. The Security Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture through the development and implementation of automation strategies. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving automation scripts and tools that streamline security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response processes among others.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 4+ years of experience in a security engineering role with a track record of successful security integration and compliance projects.
  • Technical proficiency in languages such as; JavaScript, Bash, Powershell, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of core security concepts such as MITRE and ATT&CK frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data management and analytic platforms such as; ELK stack, PowerBI, AWS Data Lakes
  • Experience working with security tools and platforms such as; SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR, and Firewall technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate across diverse teams.

RELEVANT CERTIFICATION EXPERIENCE:

  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain integrations between security, IT, cloud operations, and DevSecOps teams.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to aid in automating security operations, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, control validation, artifact gathering.
  • Create integrations to aid in data analytics, risk prioritization, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with security architecture, application security, DevSecOps, to ensure a secure development lifecycle
  • Involvement in incident responses, and purple team exercises to identify and close security gaps
