The Security Command Centre Controllers oversee the security command centre and be the primary contact for any emergencies or security breaches. Detect and respond to security threats and crises, coordinating with on-site security personnel, law enforcement, airport officials, or other airlines to address any security incidents promptly. Maintain compliance with aviation security regulations to mitigate risks to the airlines operations.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Oversee the monitoring systems within the Security Command Centre, including CCTV and access control, with other relevant teams and promptly respond to any emergencies or security breaches.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the organization, law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and other airlines regarding security-related matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to proactively identify potential security threats and formulate strategic mitigation strategies to effectively neutralize these risks.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of security data and intelligence, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Deliver concise yet comprehensive reports to senior management, offering insightful updates on the organisations security posture and status.
  • Take charge of crises management and emergency response planning, coordinating training exercise and drills to ensure readiness and resilience in handling unforeseen events.
  • Oversee the response to security incidents, facilitating seamless communication with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to ensure swift and coordinated actions. Facilitate seamless communication fostering collaboration and alignment towards common goals.
  • Effectively oversee the daily operations of the command centre, which includes security incident management, ensuring seamless execution of all activities with optimal efficiency.
  • Plan and execute drills simulating various emergency scenarios, maintaining a constant state of readiness to effectively respond to potential threats towards the airline or its network operations.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with airport authorities, regulators, and key stakeholders to strengthen and refine security measures across all facets of airline operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Honours with 5+ years experience in Security (General)
  • Bachelors degree in Security is advantageous
  • Experience in Safety & Security
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation security e.g. Annex - 17 of ICAO, IATA’s security regulations, bomb detection and its disposal training, extra ordinary security procedures and measures in case of hijacks, accidents and bomb threats.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding in any of the following areas:
