We are looking for a software engineer to join our software development team and work on
improving the security of our product line. You will be responsible for diagnosing, designing,
implementing, testing, and supporting security aspects of our product line.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or one expected in Spring of 2024.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, complexity, computability,

operating systems, multithreading, concurrency, and networks (OSI, TCP/IP)

  • Strong practical computer science knowledge: Unix tools, databases, RESTful services
  • Experience in at least one OO language such as Java and a willingness to learn several

languages used across our codebase: Java, Groovy, Kotlin, Go, C, Javascript

  • Basic cryptography knowledge and familiarity with some of the latest standards

including: (a)symmetric ciphers, digital signatures, hashing, tokens, key derivation, key

exchange, key management, and secure communication protocols

  • Basic SDLC practices such as agile and version control
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Some nice to haves include the following:

  • Knowledge and experience with security throughout the SDLC: threat modeling, secure

development best practices, supply chain security, TDD and security testing, secure

deployment, data protection, privacy, and information security

  • Exposure to relevant industry standards: OAuth, SAML, OIDC, PKI, TLS, Kerberos,

LDAP and AD authentication

  • AWS experience

In this role, you will be expected to do the following:

  • Work with a large codebase (which includes legacy code) to improve the security

posture of our products

  • (Re)design software components to improve their security
  • (Re)implement security features in the product
  • Debug security issues in a live customer environment
