Description:

Join our Application Security team defending Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services business. The team ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macquarie’s systems and information.

What role you will play?
You will be you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day customer engagement, workflow and practices of the Application Security Team. This includes enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency by leveraging AI technology and process design. You will be building autonomous teams, overseeing Jira workflow, and developing automated reporting systems. You will also coordinate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to design processes and tooling that cater to both group-wide and business unit-specific needs.

What you offer

  • 10+ years experience in technical design roles
  • 7+ years security experience in large enterprises, preferably in global financial services
  • 5+ years experience leading small teams
  • current or previous experience in configuring, operating, and designing security solutions for business and technology initiatives
  • familiarity and experience in formal security design aspects, including logical and physical security design
  • familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, and related methodologies or frameworks
  • demonstrable experience working with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies
  • experience with security engineering, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development desirable
  • demonstrates a sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps, and remains current with key IT industry themes and emerging trends
  • excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively about abstract and complex topics to a range of audiences.
