Reporting To: JLL Estate Manager and Mitie Regional Account Manager
Job Role: To Provide exceptional service in the security management of the estate and be responsible for the supporting and management of all the security operations.
To provide clear and concise direction to the security team as well as excellent communication to the JLL Estate Manager on key issues that affect the business operation and service delivery. Ensure that the interest of the customer is always protected and conduct yourself accordingly, function as their representative to deliver an exceptional service.

Job Overview: Responsible for supporting the ‘live’ operation of the buildings that makeup the estate on the Clyde Place Campus, Glasgow.

  • All common and public area of the estate.
  • All emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • All Health & Safety aspects on site – reporting to the Estate Management.
  • Reporting and management of incidents that occur on the campus.
  • Leading by example to deliver an initiative-taking and client-driven “One Team” philosophy.
  • Providing a high standard of communication via in person and / or via email / telephone.

KEY SKILLS

  • Has the ability to contribute toward a team operation or can work on their own initiative.
  • Able to manage a team of approximately twenty security officers as well as all aspects of Investigation and disciplinary issues.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Have comprehensive IT experience specifically with Microsoft Office.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of all processes and procedures.
  • A skilful negotiator who can resolve reported issues.
  • A decisive and assertive decision-maker who can interpret situations to proceed with a prioritised action plan that achieves the results required.
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills with exceptional diligence.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A cheerful outlook to dealing with people and taking on challenges.
  • Experience working within a management environment is essential.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE

  • Ensure all incidents are correctly logged, reported, and completed accurately.
  • Submit a monthly incident report to the Estate Manager.
  • Effectively communicate business issues to the JLL FM team.
  • Maintain the standards of the JLL and site-based stakeholders.
  • Rostering and Scheduling staff in line with holidays and sickness.
  • Ensure standards of uniform and personal presentation are maintained to the high standard expected by the JLL Estate Manager and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the estate reporting any abnormal findings to the Estate Manager.
  • Conduct monthly meter read checks and report back to the Estate Manager with numbers.
  • Provide continued training and coaching to all core staff and relief staff to ensure consistent performance.
  • Interview and recruit new / replacement staff to the site navigating through online portals to setup job ads.
  • Ensure that all core staff and relief staff have read and signed the AI’s and Risk assessments.
  • Ensure that all contractual requirements are properly fulfilled and if there is an issue or concern it is reported to the JLL Estate Manager.
  • Manage all day-to-day enquiries that arise from whatever source in respect of the daily operation of the security of the campus and report to the JLL Estate Manager.
  • To have an awareness of KPI’s and the SLA.
  • To be available for additional hours due to the nature of the business.
  • Schedule in visits with the nightshift teams as and when required.
  • Any other reasonable request from the client.
  • Be the point of reference for your direct line of staff for initial questions they may have, if you’re not able to assist then advise them how to navigate.
