Job Introduction

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • To take the lead from a Security perspective supported by the GSM & other members of the Management team to provide strategic Security delivery across all Security related activities within the Unilever Port Sunlight Manufacturing site delivering impeccable customer service and innovation

  • To effectively manage and support a highly capable on-site Security team to deliver against the strategic objectives for the contract, together with the delivery of a 5-star customer experience

  • To drive the Security business forward so it continues to improve, and process are consistent across all areas of Security activity within the Port Sunlight Manufacturing site
  • To take the lead from a Security perspective supported by the GSM & other members of the Management team to provide direction and expertise to the operation by promoting Sodexo strategies and service offer
  • To actively work across the Unilever Port Sunlight Manufacturing site with the Security shift leaders and on-site Security team
  • Alignment of Security activities, processes and procedures across the Unilever Port Sunlight Manufacturing site
  • Work closely and in conjunction with Unilever Safety teams and site management
  1. Accountabilities or “What you have to do”

Successfully improve and maintain performance in Security services across site (HPC), whilst helping to reducing service costs, to achieve budget / forecast

  • Become the service line expert for excellent service to internal and external clients
  • Support in the Management of Security equipment capabilities (i.e. alarms, access control, CCTV etc) for our client, ensuring existing equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ensure all issues are report to Unilever, for a fix to be arranged
  • Drive excellence in operational delivery to maximise operational excellence
  • Support the development and training of a competent team to deliver a consistent service ensuring effective leadership of all activity
  • Ensure achievement against all contractual service level agreements and key performance indicators
  • Help in the development of policy, strategy and procedures for Security delivery
  • Establish and maintain best practise links with other Security Managers / Leads within the Unilever Group
  • Support the GSM in ensuring that all aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and codes of practice.
  • Engage with customers and clients on a routine basis and lead by example in providing excellence in contract and relationship management
  • Manage relationships and key interfaces with the client and the client’s key decision makers
  • Adherence to general standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements
  • Support the department and have responsibility for all Security related Health and Safety matters ensuring compliance with Sodexo and client procedures
  • Liaison with various external agencies (i.e. Police, Fire Brigade etc) as and when required
  • Ensure compliance against contractual Service Level Agreements
  • To effectively manage the team members working on the HPC site
  • To take the lead from a Security perspective supported by the GSM & other members of the Management team in the writing of processes, procedures, guidelines & audit process for departmental activities
  • Engage with the team and ensure compliance in training, performance management, compliance checks, including personal development & reviews. Check and complete SIA license renewals / vetting, book & manage 1st aid refresher training
  • Management of Sodexo in-house relief and / or agency officers when applicable, to be cost effective and efficient
  • Continually reviewing existing processes to stimulate continuous improvement and innovation
  • Leading the operations to ensure all site occupants, visitors and guests receive the highest level of 5-star services in a pleasant clean and safe environment.
  • Lead in managing the team and operation to proactively control and develop the co-ordination, planning and organisation of the Security Services.

Services are delivered to the required level across the service portfolio, service excellence as standard

  • Operations are being delivered in compliance to the contract
  • Safety, Health and Environmental compliance in all activities
  • Service Level Agreements are completed monthly with no failures to contractual KPIs
  • Services delivered within budgets with savings & innovations, initiatives suggested & explored where possible
  • Lead a stable & fully integrated on site team with multi skilled management & employees where possible
  • Strive for Unilever’s Security solution to be recognised by our client and Sodexo as a benchmark for service excellence within the contract and wider Sodexo operation
