What Will You Do?
As a Security Officer at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining overall security of the facility, including the protection of patients, employees and hospital property. This position is also responsible for the enforcement of hospital safety and security policies, performing required rounds and dealing with emergencies as they arise. The Security Officer is
dedicated to excellent customer service, enthusiastic about the care we offer, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs surveillance of employees and visitors entering and leaving the facility to ensure personal protection as requested
  • Consistently demonstrates commitment to customer service excellence in all interactions with patients, family members, visitors and other staff
  • Actively participates in the safety programs of the organization by identifying potential risks and promoting patient safety as well as environmental safety
  • Performs scheduled tours to ensure safety of patients and property and to generate timely reports of any incidents discovered during scheduled tours
  • Responsible to uphold the healing ministry of Christ through relationships that honor integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the promotion of diversity and professional excellence.

What Does This Role Require?

Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities are required.
  • Minimum experience of six months in related field.
  • Required to have a valid Michigan driver’s license and ability access to access Pine Rest Transportation Vehicles for the performance of job duties.
