About the role

This fast paced and interesting role offers you the opportunity to utilise your experience in Defence and contribute positively to the safety and security of all personnel on base. As a Security Officer you will be responsible for providing customer service of the highest quality through your proactive, professional and sound approach. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Observe activities associated with asset protection
  • Monitor CCTV footage and radio communication systems
  • Provide first aid and liaise with Police & Emergency Response Services
  • Review camera footage and write reports
  • Conduct foot patrols throughout the premises

Skills & experience

  • Certificate II in Security Operations and security licence
  • First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Open driver’s license
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in monitoring a CCTV network
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an AGSVA security clearance
