Description:

SECURITY OFFICE/NIGHT PORTER

We are now recruiting for a Security Officer/Night Porter to join our team. The position will involve the prevention of anything that is likely to cause loss, waste, damage or inconvenience to the Company and/or our guests as well as guest meet and greet, assisting with luggage at arrival & departure.

In the role, you will be expected to:

  • To ensure that you present to work wearing the relevant uniform and to the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties as defined by your line manager.

    Ensure strict adherence to Fire Safety Management as part of the Night Procedures and Fire Walks
    General Lock up procedures of areas around the resort including buildings away from the main hotel.
    Conduct regular patrols of the grounds of the resort including all buildings on the resort.

    Assist the Night manager with any duties within the scope of the nights team.

  • Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, in the resort.

  • Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action in order to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, waste or damage.
  • Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to becoming an issue.
  • Complete an accurate, detailed log entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
  • To be responsible for the routing cleaning of public areas within the hotel as outlined in your nightly checklist.
  • To ensure that all breakfast room service cards are collected each night.
  • Carry out any special cleaning of specific task (Job of the Day) as well as normal service required in specified length of time.
  • To ensure that house policies regarding lost property are complied with at all times.
  • To check in to the hotel all guests arriving late at the hotel according to hotel procedures and policies.

The ideal candidate will have.

  • Fluent English essential
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Excellent written and attention to detail skills are essential.
  • Be fully flexible and available to workdays, nights, weekends
  • PSA license
