Work Schedule :
90% FTE. Evening/Night; Hours. 3, 12 hour shifts per week, every other weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay :

• You may be eligible for up to a $2700 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
• For evening/night hours - after 6:00 pm you will earn an additional $3.00/hr.
• On Saturday and Sunday, you will earn an additional $2.25/hr.

Play a critical role in keeping patients, visitors and staff safe at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin.

We are seeking a Security Officer to:

• Patrol hospital grounds assisting visitors with directions and acting as the first responder to emergencies and disturbances.
• Interact with law enforcement, patients, visitors and staff regarding any security or safety issues.
• Properly document daily activities and incident reports, using computer software programs.
• Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.

Education :
Minimum –High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred – Associate Degree or progress towards a degree in criminal justice field or a Bachelor’s
Degree in any other field of study.
Work Experience :
Minimum –One (1) year relevant experience or appropriate preferred education requirements.
Preferred –Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement.
Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - Valid Driver’s License and completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six months of hire.

• Ability to be insured by Hospital’s risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, (2) successfully passing a driving background check (3) must be 21 years of age.
