Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional - Former Military / Law Enforcement - Short Term Work opportunity in Edmonton, AB
- Job Title: Security Professional
- Salary: $35-$50/hour
- Shifts: 12 hours
- Schedule: 7on-7off, day/night rotation
- Accommodations: Hotel and $90 per diem provided
Overview:
Allied Universal is seeking experienced former military or Law Enforcement professionals for a short-term project in Edmonton. This role is crucial for ensuring the security and safety of the site and involves working in a 7 on - 7 off, day/night rotation with 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security and safety of the site.
- Monitor and control access points.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a secure environment.
Requirements:
- Former military / police / peace officer / correctional officer
- Must be able to commute to Edmonton Metropolitan area and neighboring town
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Legally entitled to work in Canada for 40 hours in a week.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms.
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
