JOB SUMMARY:

The Executive Protection Specialist is responsible for the safety, well-being, and personal protection of a segment leadership team and Oshkosh Corporation team members. This role promotes a safe and secure environment and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a relevant field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Ability to travel 50%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Military Special Operations experience.
  • Law Enforcement experience.
  • Personal and/or Senior Executive Protection experience.
  • Armed Security Officer certification.
  • Medical responder experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain a concealed weapon permit.
  • Capable of deescalating a high tense situation quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide personal and business-related security to Oshkosh Corporation (OSK) executives and/or designees when executives or designees are performing duties as an OSK employee; including business and personal travel in high threat scenarios.
  • Lead and develop security protocol for large events; including managing third party security vendors as needed.
  • Study physical site of an event to ensure safety of the company or its designees prior to the event and build a plan to secure the environment. Initiate and execute basic protection functions; such as perimeter and access control, identification procedures, etc.
  • Identify training gaps as it relates to broad-based security topics and may build or secure training and execute as appropriate to the business.
  • Proactively evaluate potential threats posed on the company or its designees as well as reactively assess a threat or situation which may include partnership with local authorities, police departments, and FBI.
  • Provide recommendations to the security manager for annual budgets and capital expenditures for security related enhancements.
  • Assist in security presence for discipline or terminations as needed. Serve as advisor for personal security for HR and Management teams while navigating critical situations with team members.
  • Provide guidance to team members traveling to high risk regions.
