Senior Security Specialist On behalf of our client in the Government Services Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Senior Security Specialist. Senior Security Specialist - Job Description

• The Senior Security Specialist will be responsible for defining, evaluating, and assessing security architecture requirements for systems environments and IT projects
• They will ensure the incorporation of IT security and contingency measures in the development of systems and advise on the identification, analysis, and resolution of specific security factors, risks, and vulnerabilities

• The role also involves carrying out information and information technology (I&IT) security projects and tasks in the Ontario Public Service as assigned by Corporate Security or cluster I&IT management

  Senior Security Specialist - Mandatory Skills

• Candidates must have public sector experience, security and project management skills, and stakeholder management abilities

• They should have a strong understanding of security architecture and knowledge of techniques to secure information assets

• Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables, providing specialized security support, establishing secure environments at a network, operating system or application level, and implementing security on complex and distributed systems is required

  Senior Security Specialist - Preferred Skills

• Experience in Threat Risk Assessment methods, business recovery and disaster recovery planning, performing threat and risk assessment, public key infrastructure development and operation, security design as part of systems development projects, intrusion detection systems, mitigation tools for malicious software, vulnerability analysis and penetration testing, network monitoring, security policy development, developing and delivering security education, and forensic investigation
