Responsibilities:
DUTIES
- Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient security program that supports the garrison mission.
- Interprets higher-level guidance and incorporates it into the program as required.
- Provides definitive technical advice and assistance to the Garrison Commander regarding the establishment of a comprehensive security program.
- Make security clearance determinations for contractors for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.
- Resolves issues with industry officials involving security plans and makes adjustments based on costs, alternative methods available, other security programs in place, and similar considerations.
- Make security clearance determinations for employees or other persons for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.
- Implement policies and procedures for the personnel security program within the organization.
- Advise on personnel security policies and related matters and on the impact of personnel security requirements on organizational missions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods for delegation and exercise of classification and declassification authority; personnel access controls; need to know criteria etc.
- Perform oversight reviews to monitor program implementation and practices in supported organizations.
