Description:

We Are Hiring:

  • Department:Security
  • Schedule: 7 AM - 3 PM, Monday thru Friday
  • Hospital:Ascension St. Vicent’s St. John’s Hospital
  • Location:Jacksonville, Florida

What You Will Do:

Supervise the daily activities of the assigned area(s).

  • Identify, observations or trends having a negative impact on the campus and assists with the development of action plans.
  • Conduct follow-up investigations on incident reports and analyzes incidents and conditions.
  • Monitor associate adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the training and development of staff.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement shift schedules to ensure proper security coverage and protection of the Hospital.
  • Assist with preparing security budgets.
  • Maintain expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Assist manager with daily operation of the department including, interviewing, disciplinary actions, staff management and contract management.
  • Coordinate emergency drills.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drivers License credentialed from the Florida Bureau of Motor Vehicles preferred.
  • Security Professional preferred.
  • Security Guard specializing in Concealed Weapon preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
