JOB DESCRIPTION

ECU Academic Library Services is currently seeking several Digital Collections Undergraduate Student Assistants. Some duties will include:

• Digitizing and processing images, text, audio, and video for online display
• Performing quality checking and proofreading
• Generating digital surrogates via scanning
• Creating and updating database records
• Harvesting preservation metadata using various command line scripts
• Creating derivatives of scanned items stored in the online repository
• Posting processing image files to fulfill the requirements of the library and or library patrons
• Manipulating and consolidating data in Microsoft Excel and Word

Hours will be scheduled between Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
