Responsibilities:
LTF Recruitment are actively seeking a friendly and caring SEN teaching assistant to join our secondary school in the Derby (DE23) area.
The role would be supporting a student in year 7 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a 1:1 basis in a supportive and welcoming secondary school. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.
Who are we looking for?
- Level 2 or relevant qualification required
- Will have relevant SEN experience within a secondary education setting
- Have experience supporting students 1 to 1
- Be nurturing and caring
- Experience working with children with SEN (ideally Austism)
- Must be flexible to work with other staff
- Will have excellent communication skills (non-verbal skills desired but not essential).
