Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- JD degree is preferred.
- Prefers at least two years of experience in law school or undergraduate admissions, student affairs or a related field.
- Experience in graduate, or law school admissions strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing LLM academic recruiting activities such as meeting applicants and admitted students to cultivate interest in the FSU Law and answer questions about the application process. Responsible for communicating with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students using a variety of media, coordinate alumni, student, and faculty matching programs.
- Conceptualize and plan on-campus and virtual recruitment events in coordination with other departments and teams at the law school. Plan, coordinate, organize and present at various events and programs designed to inform LLMs about various opportunities, requirements, and events relevant to LLM student life including, inter alia, bar examinations, course selection, law school study tips, social events, LLM to JD transfer, etc.
- Represent FSU Law at occasional off-campus recruiting events, including LSAC Forums, college fairs, panel discussions, and private visits nationwide.
- Under the direction of Admissions leadership, review and evaluate applications for admission according to established parameters and make recommendations for admission and scholarship awards, for final approval from Assistant Dean for Admissions, and LLM program leadership.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
