About the Role
Teranet is currently looking for an Accessibility Compliance Analyst. You will support Teranet lines of business by guiding, design, construction, implementation and ongoing operations and maintenance of accessible data, information technology solutions in accordance with regulatory and WCAG compliance. The successful candidate will work with established processes.
What You’ll Be Doing

The Accessibility Compliance Analyst evaluates digital products to:

  • Perform accessibility tests using evaluation tools, and assistive technologies as needed
  • Perform manual testing as needed
  • Records results of all testing activities
  • Provides detailed reporting as needed About You Bachelor degree in Information Technology and/or courses or designations relating to specific Accessibility IT technologies (web, graphic design, applications, information, tools) or a related discipline

About You

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in QA, web, and accessibility testing in a medium to large organization
  • Expert knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 AA requirements
  • Professional accessibility training or certification (CPACC, WAS, CPWA, ADS, CPABE)
  • Proven experience working with WAI-ARIA authoring guidelines and best practices
  • Proven experience working with accessible design best practices
  • Proven experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Proven experience using accessibility evaluation tools and frameworks (e.g., Axe, MS Accessibility Insights, WAVE, Developer Tools etc)
  • Proven experience using assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver etc)
  • Experience with PDF accessibility testing
  • Experience with Single Page Application testing (e.g., Angular, React etc)
  • Experience with standard QA processes and tools (e.g., Jira, ALM QC etc)

Preferred:

Applicants with the following additional qualifications will be preferred:

  • Post-Secondary education in Information Technology and/or courses or designations relating to specific Accessibility IT technologies (web, graphic design, applications, information, tools) or a related discipline
  • Experience with Single Page Application Accessibility testing (e.g., Angular, React)
  • Experience with both manual and automated accessibility tools
