SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER (MONTREAL, QC)

Currently, Cinco is looking to fill the position of Senior Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients, including one of our key clients in the automotive industry. Reporting to the Head of Production, the Senior Account Manager will manage a team of Project Managers and ensure departmental efforts align with client needs. The Senior Account Manager will foster strong, long-term relationships with key clients, driving account growth through strategic upselling and cross-selling, and ensuring the successful execution of client projects.
This role requires a blend of client management expertise, strategic planning skills, creative direction, project management proficiency, team leadership abilities, and a keen eye for financial management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record driving growth, leading teams, and delivering exceptional results for clients.
This is a full-time hybrid position that will require 2 days per week at our Montreal, Quebec office location. Standard office hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional work outside of core hours based on project requirements and needs. Regional and national travel may be required a few days per month during busy seasons.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONS, CERTIFICATION, OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, Project Management, Event Management, or a related field preferred)
  • At least 10 years of experience as an Account Manager or relevant role.
  • Proven experience in account management, preferably in event and experiential marketing.
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies.
  • Experience with event management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with ‘on-the-ground’ logistics such as setup and tear-down tasking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual English and French.
  • Experience in automotive industry and test drive program an asset.
  • An interest in hockey strongly preferred!

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, nurturing and maintaining long-lasting relationships.
  • Gain a deep understanding of clients’ businesses to provide tailored event and experiential marketing solutions aligned with their goals.
  • Drive account growth through strategic upselling and cross-selling of services.
  • Lead the strategic planning process for client projects, ensuring alignment with brand messages, target audiences, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish clear project goals and KPIs, and develop innovative strategies to achieve them.
  • Oversee the creative process alongside the Creative Team, ensuring event concepts, designs, and executions meet client expectations and brand identity.
  • Lead project management efforts, coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of events and campaigns within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Manage and mentor a team of project managers and supporting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ensure financial health of client accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate billing and financial reporting, identifying opportunities to improve margins.
  • Leverage data to evaluate account performance and trends on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts, including pitching and proposal development.
  • Leverage existing client relationships to generate referrals and expand the company’s client base.
  • Stay current and informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in event and experiential marketing.
  • Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to Cinco and clients to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Uphold high standards of quality and excellence in all aspects of work, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices in event management and experiential marketing.
