Description:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant Insurance experience required
  • Experience of Marine Business in Latin American region preferred.
  • Language skills relevant to Latin American region would be an advantage in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the London Insurance Market and International Insurance Markets.
  • Preparing market submissions and placing documentation including MRCs and endorsements and assist with wordings.
  • Ensure all placing, contract and closing documentation satisfies the client requirements and complies with internal procedures.
  • Use Whitespace to obtain market agreement of MRCs and endorsements.
  • Co-ordinate and manage client and placement records, maintaining clear, accurate and comprehensive files reflecting the transactions undertaken on behalf of clients.
  • Facilitate processing of tax calculations and debit notes.
  • Ensure agreed payment terms and payment warranties are met through credit control.
  • Daily monitoring with IBA team of bad debt, cash and funding.
  • Be an effective team member and collaborate well with peers in the London office.
  • Use the data and analytics produced within the Marine team to monitor Key Performance Indicators.
  • Escalate any potential E&Os to line management and the Legal & Compliance team at the earliest opportunity.
  • Contribute to retention of clients through planned and coordinated account renewal, Inviting and monitoring renewal instructions.
  • Support the identification and development of opportunities for account growth.
  • Logging of all quotes and enquiries
  • Bordereaux monitoring for current binders and line slips.
  • Assisting with sanctions screening and “know your client” due diligence procedures.
  • Generally providing support to the producers/brokers within the Division
  • Carrying out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be required
