We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. You will ensure an effective and timely monthly/quarterly close process in alignment with IFRS and Local GAAP accounting principles. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare and execute financial statements, and provide valuable financial insights to support our commercial and operations teams.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS JOB, WE BELIEVE THAT YOU POSSESS THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS.

  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, minimum 5 years experience
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Swedish GAAP accounting principles
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, knowledge about JDE is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide financial expertise and guidance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Close Process: Ensure timely and accurate monthly/quarterly close processes, including balance sheet account reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
  • Subledger Management: Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), managing ingoing and outgoing payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly closing statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow specifications.
  • Compliance: Maintain financial ledgers in compliance with local laws, GAAP, tax codes, government regulations, and filing requirements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses, solving discrepancies independently.
  • Journal Entries: Book journals for accruals, fixed assets, inventory, receivables, payables, expenses, and payroll.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Administer and execute group intercompany transactions.
  • Statutory & Management Reporting: Provide accurate and timely monthly and annual close reports.
  • ERP System Management: Administer the supplier register, ensuring the integrity of high-risk payments and vendor additions.
  • Cash Management: Regular communication with banks and other offices regarding cash payable and exchange trades.
  • Tax Compliance: Handle tax declarations for income statements, VAT, and tax administration.
  • Payroll: Analyse and reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Audit Support: Provide information and support to auditors.
  • Business Partnership: Work closely with the business to simplify processes in P&L and finance flows to drive growth.
