Senior Accountant – 12 month contract – Hybrid - Donegal
Part or fully qualified Accountant with experience in a multinational environment. Experience in forecasting, planning and analysis, business and system integration etc. Experience in PeopleSoft Financials, Power Query or PowerBI would be an advantage.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Part or Qualified Accountant or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance
  • Proven post qualified experience in management and/or statutory accounting
  • Proven accounting experience within a multinational and/or multicurrency organisational environment
  • High proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of Management reporting.
  • Reconcile, analyse and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles (US GAAP and local GAAP)
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.
  • Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups
  • Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues.
  • Serve as a resource to others.
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
  • Streamline processes by leaning into analytical tools and technology.
