Senior Accountant – 12 month contract – Hybrid - Donegal
Part or fully qualified Accountant with experience in a multinational environment. Experience in forecasting, planning and analysis, business and system integration etc. Experience in PeopleSoft Financials, Power Query or PowerBI would be an advantage.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Part or Qualified Accountant or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance
- Proven post qualified experience in management and/or statutory accounting
- Proven accounting experience within a multinational and/or multicurrency organisational environment
- High proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of Management reporting.
- Reconcile, analyse and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
- Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles (US GAAP and local GAAP)
- Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.
- Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups
- Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues.
- Serve as a resource to others.
- Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.
- Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
- Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
- Streamline processes by leaning into analytical tools and technology.
