JOB SUMMARY:

  • Reporting to the Finance-in-charge (Senior Finance Manager), Production Area Asia Pacific, Manufacturing & Supply Chain (MSC).
  • Accounting Operations Activity and Analysis: Monitor and control inventory and finished goods. Prepare inventory adjustments in SAP. Prepare inventory reports such as stock and write-offs reports. Inventory revaluation, COP impact calculation, Transfer pricing. Manage invoices with Shared Service Center in the Philippines, reconcile vendor statements and payments.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare financial and management reports on a monthly basis, quarterly forecasting and yearly budgeting as required.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the annual budget and forecasts while collaborating with operational partners as well as the regional/global finance and leadership team as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Holds a degree in accounting and higher qualifications of a CPA in Australia.
  • Minimum 8 years accounting experience, preferably in pharmaceutical/ medical/ FMCG industries.
  • Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills would be an advantage.
  • Hands on experience in SAP MM and FICO is a MUST.
  • Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and able to work independently.
  • Experience in Multinational companies and solid manufacturing costing background
  • Experience in accounting processes and tax regulations, GAAP knowledge (local/IFRS)
  • Knowledge in SAP or ERP.
  • Strong commitment, teamwork and good collaboration and communication with finance teams and various stakeholders.
  • Primary work location in Smithfield Plant and regular travel/visits to Scoresby Plant is required.

Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting – General Ledger, Fixed Asset, Consolidation and Close.
  • Accounts Payable – Manage invoices with Shared Service Center in the Philippines, reconcile vendor statements and payments.
  • Responsible for accurate standard costs; ensure and improve cost calculation accuracy and reliability and able to rationalize data with deep understanding.
  • Handle processing of vendor master such as set up new vendor and update vendor database.
  • Support procurement in approval and file maintenance of purchase orders.
  • Maintain internal control systems as approved and directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Handle other plant and regional ad hoc reports/requests as required.
  • Proper submission and filing of tax related documentation/statements in time according to tax regulations/requirements.
  • Actively participate in staff and operational meetings and discussions and provide visual leadership at all levels of the company/organization.
  • Implement and enhance internal controls to ensure conformance with ICS and compliance requirements.
  • Support operations on manufacturing cost savings and optimization initiatives, monitoring, tracking and improvement actions.
  • Support on process (e.g. migration to SSC, streamlining of non-value added/manual tasks etc..) and systems (e.g. MRP/Production Planning module etc..) improvement projects.
  • Conduct and assist internal and external audit activities.
  • Any ad hoc tasks / projects as assigned.
