PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Luxoft is a global IT service provider with more than 17,000 employees at 42 locations in 22 countries and has been part of the New York-listed DXC Group since June 2019. Its long-standing customers include well-known clients worldwide from the banking, IT, automotive and aviation sectors.
Luxoft Germany has its focus in the automotive sector. We are working on a number of projects involving open source software platforms (OSS) for the development of in-vehicle entertainment (IVI) and human machine interface (HMI). The majority of well-known automotive manufacturers and many Tier 1 suppliers trust us to develop software solutions that require expertise in open source technologies, cross-platform user interfaces (UI), Qt framework development and IVI systems.
Luxoft Germany consists of the companies Luxoft GmbH, Symtavision GmbH and CMORE Automotive GmbH with around 900 employees in Stuttgart, Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Lindau and Braunschweig.
We are looking for a committed colleague (m/f/d) as Senior Accountant Germany (m/f/d) to join our finance team at one of the above-mentioned locations or remotely as soon as possible.

SKILLS

Must have

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance or comparable
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting/taxation
  • Good knowledge of German GAAP (certified accountant is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of German tax law
  • ERP knowledge (Oracle is an advantage)
  • Sound knowledge of MS Excel
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Sense of responsibility and solution-oriented thinking
  • Structured, independent and conscientious way of working with a high degree of precision
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good communication and cooperation skills
  • Experience of working in international structures

Nice to have
Experience with Oracle accounting system

Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in month end closing process for Group reporting (US GAAP)
  • Support in preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with German law (HGB)
  • Participation in preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Responsibility for daily General Ledger accounting activities
  • Review and approval role in AP and T&E processes (e.g. purchase orders or new suppliers approval)
  • General Ledger accounts reconciliation
  • Cooperation with the central finance organization such as Treasury, Accounting, Consolidation and Taxes
