WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Good understanding of current International and Australian Accounting Standards
  • Experience with large ERP systems.
  • Ability to reconcile financial records and resolve source issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Flexibility, responsiveness, and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level (intermediate to advance) excel skills.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and complete financial accounting records, on-time delivery of end-of-month and quarterly reporting and consolidation, as well as driving forward the reduction in complex manual calculations and processes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Prepare financial management reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports, and present to senior management.
  • Capex and fixed asset accounting.
  • Processing and reviewing end-of-month transactions, including revenue, expenditure, accruals, and prepayment recognition.
  • Ensuring accounting records are maintained in accordance with IFRS.
  • Liaise with tax group managers to support local Australian taxation requirements (eg. BAS, FBT return).
  • Manage transactions impacting multiple entities, such as audit fees, management fees, inter-group dividends, etc.
  • Assist in providing reliable financial and management information across business activities.
  • Ensure all consolidation and elimination entries are accurately recorded in the relevant ledger/financial reporting system.
  • Enter and maintain balanced intercompany accounts, including sound understanding of applicable foreign currencies used and the impact of these within the Group.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations evidencing sound financial control of relevant entities.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally and communicate effectively and efficiently.
  • Contribute to our accounting policies and planning, driving ongoing process improvement with Finance.
