Description:
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a privately owned resources business in growth mode, with several operational assets and further projects in the pipeline. With a focus on commercial ajility and market adaptability, they are innovative, strategic and are looking to bolster the finance team with a Senior Accountant keen to play a key role in supporting their ongoing development and growth.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Senior Leadership team, you will utilise your strong technical accounting skills to support process, system and operational improvements as well as the working across the day to day finance function.
Duties of the role will include (but are not limited to):
- Develop and drive continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, operational analysis and forecasts;
- Ensure compliance with all financial, tax and legal requirements, policies and provisions;
- Expense management and reporting for exploration across all tenements;
- Managing WIP, Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation;
- Assistance with preparation of budgets & quarterly forecasts;
- Assistance with internal and external audit;
- Maintaining the site rental register and liaison with rental agencies;
- Vendor liaison and supplier relationships;
- Checking coding on purchase requisitions and conversion to purchase orders;
- EOM completion (including payment run, accruals, GL review, BS reconciliations, etc.);
- Preparing month end reports;
- Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.
