Description:

Elevation Senior Finance are recruiting a qualified Senior Accountant to join the growing Operational Finance Team of a fast-growing listed manufacturing business in Alfreton.
You will be responsible for leading the manufacturing finance agenda for 7 manufacturing sites across the North of England. This will include responsibility for leading a team of finance business partners who are responsible for all aspects of financial and management reporting for the Group’s operations functions; comprising of Planning, Production, Recycling and Logistics business areas.
You will report into the Head of Operational Finance and will be a strategic business partner to the Group’s Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O.) and the Operations Leadership Team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as strategic business partner to the COO and Operations Leadership Team
  • Identifying and analysing risks and opportunities to achieve annual business unit targets
  • Conducting financial appraisals and corresponding cost tracking of strategic initiatives
  • Leading, managing and supporting a team of business partners
  • Developing a strong understanding of all areas of operations, and become a key contact and conduit for the Operational Team
  • Supporting and reviewing throughout all areas of the accounting process for manufacturing, to include Month end reporting, performance analysis, financial forecasts, annual budgets

Key skills / qualifications:

  • CIMA / ACCA qualified
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to engage and communicate on all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • SAP system experience beneficial, particularly production and financial modules
  • Full UK driver’s license
