Description:

Senior Accountant, ASX-Listed Tourism Company, Financial Accounting & Analysis
ASX-Listed tourism company operating across ANZ. Sitting in a finance team of 20+, this Senior Accountant will report directly to the Group FP&A Manager, with a dotted line to the CFO.
This is an end-to-end role, covering both financial accounting and FP&A duties, along with business partnering with the operations teams.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify patterns and minimize risks efficiently.
  • Generate comprehensive financial reports for executive review.
  • Manage financial aspects of aircraft repairs and maintenance, including cost analysis, profitability assessment, inventory procurement, and capital expenditure oversight.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate in crafting annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor and assess actual performance against budget, offering insightful explanations for variances.
  • Spearhead enhancements in budgeting and forecasting procedures.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Foster strong alliances with business leaders, providing invaluable financial guidance.
  • Spot opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth, presenting actionable suggestions.

Financial Modelling:

  • Develop and update intricate financial models for thorough business planning and scenario evaluation.
  • Assess financial implications of initiatives and projects, delivering well-grounded recommendations.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to devise and execute effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory shifts impacting financial performance.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Cultivate collaborative relationships across departments to ensure harmony between financial objectives and broader business goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between finance and other departments, fostering transparent communication and collaboration.
