Senior Accountant

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Tempe, Arizona. Your primary role will be to ensure the accuracy of our financial records through tasks such as account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. You will play a crucial role in our month-end close activities and journal entries, utilizing your expertise in NetSuite. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

• Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of transactions and financial data
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that our financial records are consistent with bank statements
• Maintain the general ledger by updating and verifying its contents
• Take charge of month-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported
• Record journal entries, making sure to document the details of the financial transactions
• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks and financial management
• Collaborate with other teams to streamline financial processes and improve overall business operations
• Ensure all financial reports and documents comply with company policies and regulations
• Assist in other financial analysis and projects as needed
• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the finance sector
• Solid understanding of accounting procedures and principles
• Proficiency in using financial software; experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliations
• Expertise in maintaining and managing general ledger
• Familiarity with creating journal entries and adjusting entries as needed
• Experience in managing month end close processes
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• CPA or other relevant certification will be considered a strong advantage
• Must demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
