Senior Accountant

This is a Senior Accountant position that brings the challenges and rewards you have been looking for! Your exceptional skills will allow you to support a well-established publicly listed organization within the health care industry based in downtown Vancouver. This role is a 3-month contract, which requires candidates who are immediately available and currently based in BC. Successful candidates must be comfortable working 100% onsite for the initial two weeks, then transitioning to hybrid thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake general ledger account reconciliations – intercompany, prepaid, debt and leases.
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, P& L reports, analyzing P& L reports
Prepare working paper files supporting month-end and quarter-end financial reporting
Undertaking ad hoc assignments

REQUIREMENTS:

Designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (public practice + industry experience)
General Ledger account reconciliation experience with intercompany accounts, prepaids, debt and lease accounts
Month-end & quarter-end close experience, along with experience preparing working papers
