Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our General Ledger team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa (hybrid).

You will be part of our global Finance & Control organization consisting of experienced finance professionals. In Vaisala, General Ledger team is part of General Accounting and Consolidation team, which is organized and managed centrally from HQ. In this role, you will be responsible for general accounting for assigned Vaisala Group’s subsidiaries and working in close co-operation with the team of four accounting experts. With us your work is truly meaningful as you will enable Vaisala to solve the big environmental and societal challenges of our time. You will report to the Finance Manager, General Ledger team.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

• Relevant work experience in accounting. Experience from an international working environment is an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree or similar in accounting or related field
• Good knowledge in general accounting principles and accounting experience in the companies applying IFRS-standards
• Fluent English and Finnish language skills are needed to be able to communicate with our international colleagues, authorities in Finland and abroad.
• Experience in SAP is considered as an asset.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare general ledger accounting for assigned Vaisala’s group companies
• Prepare financial monthly reports and related specifications
• Assist in indirect tax, direct tax, and statutory compliance process and reporting
• Participate in monthly closing activities of foreign group companies and consolidation process
• Report to governmental authorities
• Perform other assigned centralized accounting tasks
• Contribute to stabilization of Vaisala’s new SAP reporting system.
