WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced Manager of Digital Transformation and Automation to drive the integration of digital tools and automation solutions into our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing digital transformation initiatives and process automation coupled with expertise in finance and accounting. This individual will play a pivotal role in modernizing our finance function, increasing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

THE SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Analytics, System Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or accounting with a focus on digital transformation and process automation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation initiatives within finance or accounting functions.
  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; familiarity with automation tools such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and/or Alteryx.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions to streamline workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-thinking mindset, capable of anticipating future needs and trends in accounting technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for the accounting department, in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within accounting workflows, including but not limited to, revenue recognition, trust accounting, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of accounting software, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product & Technology, Data Platform, IT, Finance, and other departments to integrate accounting systems with existing infrastructure and ensure seamless data flow.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team in adopting new technologies and best practices, including training and ongoing support.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions, regularly analyzing performance metrics and making adjustments as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in accounting technology and automation, proactively identifying opportunities to further enhance processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security protocols, and internal controls in all digital transformation initiatives.
  • Build and resign reports for finance and accounting using various data sources and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and/or Looker.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on digital transformation and automation within the finance department, offering strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
