Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly VAT tax returns, Income Tax withholdings (Including but not limited to RESICO) and Income tax.
- Manage and reconcile tax records and supporting ledgers.
- Respond to tax queries accurately and timely.
- Prepare all calculations and analysis needed for Annual Income Tax Return, also the data and reports needed for DISIF and/or annual tax opinion “SIPRED”.
- Support the company to defend tax postions as necessary and within tax guidelines.
- Communicate potential solutions and to risks or uncertain risks identified timely.
- Prepare annual calculation from CUCA, CUFIN, PTU, and state and federal tax annual inflation adjustment.
- Annual reconciliation of financial records to deductions to calculate the Income Tax under the Maquila program.
- Prepare monthly Maquila invoices “CFDI” to respective intercompany.
- Awareness and knowledge of Transfer Pricing to support external consultants with analysis and evaluate impact to the overall tax reporting.
- Submit monthly electronic accounting timely and accurately.
- Support internal and external audits with tax and financial requests.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of XML files to payroll receipts and separately to vendor invoices.
- Timely management of CFDI for suppliers including issuance and cancellation as applicable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly reconciliations for tax balance sheet accounts as well as other selected financial balance sheet accounts to include other accruals, cash and account payable.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for provisions, cash, payroll (using ADP information) fixed assets, Maquila and intercompany.
- Work on special projects and ad hoc requests as required.
- Ensure timely, accurate submission of financial results to management.
- Support preparation of monthly financials and ad hoc reports, including weekly sales and margin reporting, monthly and quarterly margin analysis and departmental cost analysis.
- Analyze financial information, verify and explain variances and results compared to historical data, budget or forecasts.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests and support.
- Play an important role in company internal controls and compliance and maintain company accounting procedures and processes.
- Support automation of payroll entry to general ledger, building repeatable and reports with the new ERP, including reports to managers and accounting use to analyze activity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Six plus years of accounting experience required.
- Working knowledge of SAT portal.
- Knowledge of international treaties around double taxation.
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Proficiency using accounting software in an ERP environment.
- Possess good organizational skills.
- Flexible and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Deadline oriented.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
