OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Background in Finance & Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting covering AP, AR and GL areas;
  • Fluent in English and German (both at a minimum B2 level)
  • Willingness to work during month-end and year-end closing according to the client’s calendar
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
  • Empathy, strong interpersonal skills as well as an understanding of client relationship building are essential
  • Availability, commitment to the work duties, communicativeness and excellent organization skills

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with accounting departments (AP, AR, GL)
  • Communication with the Client’s CFO
  • Efficiently manage the entire accounts payable process, including approving vendor invoices, verifying accuracy and ensuring timely payments
  • Prepare financial statements, providing insights and analysis to the Client
  • Assist with external audits and provide reports as requested
  • Preparation of declarations and supervision over the correctness and timeliness of tax and other public-law settlement
  • Preparing the Company’s and Clients’ regular and annual financial statements according to the accounting law, international financial reporting standards and the group policies, supervising all operations needed for their approval and publication as well as handling of the audit performed by a statutory auditor
  • Coordinating periods closing
  • Supervision of analytical tasks in the accounting department, performed by other employees
  • Other activities related to accounting or financial management resulting from the current regulations or decisions of the management board
  • Supporting the Client and Team members with the ad hoc activities
  • Participating in meeting with the Client and internal teams on a regular basis
  • Team management including training, motivation and daily task control
