  • Minimum Diploma in Accountancy
  • Relevant working experience in a Shared Services environment preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Good working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
  • Good numerical and Excel skills

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Accounts Receivable is to ensure payments received for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly. It also includes securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior/Accounts Officer duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

The Senior/Accounts Officer shall be assigned duties in Shared Services:

  • Processing and sending out invoices;
  • Posting of incoming receipts entries;
  • Reporting all daily work-related activities;
  • Following very specific and strict deadlines;
  • Generating reminder letters and Statement of Accounts to customers;
  • Investigating and solving customer complaints and queries;
  • Being on the look-out for delayed or missed payments and other such irregularities;
  • Month-end and year-end closing including preparing journal entries and posting;
  • Reconciling and following up for outstanding items on clearing accounts, debtors’ aging and bank reconciliations;
  • Communicating/liaising with customers, Business Units, auditors and statutory bodies;
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s policy and procedures;
  • Preparing quarter GST reports;
  • Participate in system enhancement testing;
  • Administrative and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
