SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables essential
  • Desired skills Power Query, use of Sharepoint for data storage/extraction is highly desirable
  • Experience with Virtual Credit Cards (Conferma) is highly desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and email systems.
  • Experience with VBA would be preferable.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and drive to achieve team results.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills to positively engage and build successful working partnerships with staff, clients, and suppliers
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Tramada System or similar travel accounting package is highly desirable.
  • Experience with offshore staff integration, management and partnership is highly desirable
  • A knowledge of the travel industry is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

The Senior Accounts Payable Officer is a critical role within the finance department, responsible for supporting and managing the end-to-end accounts payable function. This position involves supporting a team of accounts payable professionals both onshore and offshore outsourced, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, timely payments to vendors, reconciliation of credit cards, completing and processing client chargeback process and maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.
The role requires accuracy, efficiency, and a broad knowledge to oversee all CTM Client Accounts Payable Functions including supplier payments, agency credit card reconciliations, BSP reconciliations, car hire statement processing, ad-hoc account reconciliation & the management of creditor ledgers.
The role requires excellent time management and communication skills, a strong eye for detail and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. The role supports the processing of large volumes of transactions, actively reviews, identifies and implements improvements to existing
processes whilst working with operational teams across the business. Meeting monthly deadlines is of upmost importance to ensure the Finance Operations Department is achieving its operational and strategic goals and ensuring payments are made in a timely manner in line with CTM procedures.
