JOB TITLE: ACTION OFFICER

Position Overview: We are seeking four highly qualified individuals to join our team, in APG, MD. In this role, you will be providing crucial support to senior leadership, working as part of a Senior Action Group. Successful candidates will have a proven track record as staff or action officers, ideally within the Pentagon or as part of a command action group, bringing strategic thinking and organizational skills to the forefront.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Retired military officer with a rank ranging from O-4 to O-5.
  • Extensive experience as an action officer, preferably at the Pentagon or within a command action group.
  • Background as a logistics officer (90-series) is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and briefing capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of military policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Coordination:
  • Work closely with senior leadership to understand organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate and synchronize activities within the Senior Action Group to ensure alignment with the overall mission.
  • Develop and present briefings, reports, and other materials to convey critical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Logistics Integration:
  • Utilize logistics expertise to integrate supply chain, transportation, and resource management into strategic planning processes.
  • Streamline logistical support to enhance the efficiency of command operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the Senior Action Group and across the command.
  • Interface with external stakeholders, both within and outside the organization, to facilitate information exchange.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the Senior Action Group.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the command.
