Hire Resolve’s client, a leading life insurance company in Johannesburg, is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their team.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex insurance data and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. You will work closely with the actuarial team and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial models and strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified or nearly qualified actuary with relevant professional qualifications
• At least 3 years of experience in the life insurance industry
• Strong knowledge of actuarial concepts and methodologies
• Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., Prophet, R, Python)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Perform actuarial valuations and calculations to support financial reporting and planning
• Analyze and interpret insurance data to provide insights and recommendations
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess risks and estimate future outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business performance and address key challenges
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Good understanding of valuations/reserving and great technical skills
